# Overview

Running and maintaining blockchain nodes often comes with challenges, especially when dealing with hardforks, node crashes, database corruptions, etc. Nodies' Snapshot service is designed to help developers mitigate these challenges. We've developed an in-house tool that leverages our own RPC nodes to create blockchain snapshots without impacting our RPC services. These snapshots are hosted across multiple geographic regions (varying by chain) for fast download speeds.

As part of our commitment to supporting blockchain ecosystems, we offer these snapshots for free, making them available to the entire community. If you'd like to see other blockchains included, please let us know [here](https://www.nodies.app/contact-us).
